Dhubri

Dhubri is a district in the Assam State of India. Total area of Dhubri is 2,176 km² including 2,144.06 km² rural area and 31.94 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Dhubri has a population of 19,49,258 peoples, out of which urban population is 2,03,701 while rural population is 17,45,557. Dhubri has a sex ratio of approximately 953 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 895.8 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 4,14,674 houses in the district, including 43,599 urban houses and 3,71,075 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 1,052 villages in dhubri district.

The Dhubri district is further divided in to Subdivisions / Blocks / PS / Community Development Blocks (C.D.Blocks) for administrative purposes.
