Golaghat

Golaghat is a district in the Assam State of India. Total area of Golaghat is 3,502 km² including 3,465.55 km² rural area and 36.45 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Golaghat has a population of 10,66,888 peoples, out of which urban population is 97,736 while rural population is 9,69,152. Golaghat has a sex ratio of approximately 964 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 304.7 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 2,27,197 houses in the district, including 22,337 urban houses and 2,04,860 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 1,032 villages in golaghat district.
