Kokrajhar

Kokrajhar is a district in the Assam State of India. Total area of Kokrajhar is 3,296 km² including 3,279.68 km² rural area and 16.32 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Kokrajhar has a population of 8,87,142 peoples, out of which urban population is 54,941 while rural population is 8,32,201. Kokrajhar has a sex ratio of approximately 958 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 269.2 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 1,81,081 houses in the district, including 11,722 urban houses and 1,69,359 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 1,053 villages in kokrajhar district.
