Lakhimpur is a district in the Assam State of India. Total area of Lakhimpur is 2,277 km² including 2,240.85 km² rural area and 36.15 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Lakhimpur has a population of 10,42,137 peoples, out of which urban population is 91,333 while rural population is 9,50,804. Lakhimpur has a sex ratio of approximately 967 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 457.7 inhabitants per square kilometre.
