Morigaon

Morigaon is a district in the Assam State of India. Total area of Morigaon is 1,551 km² including 1,525.50 km² rural area and 25.50 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Morigaon has a population of 9,57,423 peoples, out of which urban population is 73,298 while rural population is 8,84,125. Morigaon has a sex ratio of approximately 967 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 617.3 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 1,84,602 houses in the district, including 16,157 urban houses and 1,68,445 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 598 villages in morigaon district.
