Sivasagar is a district in the Assam State of India. Total area of Sivasagar is 2,668 km² including 2,625.07 km² rural area and 42.93 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Sivasagar has a population of 11,51,050 peoples, out of which urban population is 1,10,096 while rural population is 10,40,954. The district has a population density of 431.4 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 2,48,367 houses in the district, including 26,231 urban houses and 2,22,136 rural houses.
