Sonitpur
Sonitpur is a district in the Assam State of India. Total area of Sonitpur is 5,204 km² including 5,146.42 km² rural area and 57.58 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Sonitpur has a population of 19,24,110 peoples, out of which urban population is 1,73,845 while rural population is 17,50,265. Sonitpur has a sex ratio of approximately 955 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 369.7 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 3,92,919 houses in the district, including 40,272 urban houses and 3,52,647 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 1,798 villages in sonitpur district.
