Sonitpur

Sonitpur is a district in the Assam State of India. Total area of Sonitpur is 5,204 km² including 5,146.42 km² rural area and 57.58 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Sonitpur has a population of 19,24,110 peoples, out of which urban population is 1,73,845 while rural population is 17,50,265. Sonitpur has a sex ratio of approximately 955 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 369.7 inhabitants per square kilometre.
