Banka

Banka is a district in the Bihar State of India. Total area of Banka is 3,020 km² including 2,989.95 km² rural area and 30.05 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Banka has a population of 20,34,763 peoples, out of which urban population is 71,313 while rural population is 19,63,450. Banka has a sex ratio of approximately 906 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 674 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 3,81,601 houses in the district, including 13,604 urban houses and 3,67,997 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 1,702 villages in banka district.

The Banka district is further divided in to Subdivisions / Blocks / PS / Community Development Blocks (C.D.Blocks) for administrative purposes.
