Saharsa

Saharsa is a district in the Bihar State of India. Total area of Saharsa is 1,687 km² including 1,665.87 km² rural area and 21.13 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Saharsa has a population of 19,00,661 peoples, out of which urban population is 1,56,540 while rural population is 17,44,121. Saharsa has a sex ratio of approximately 906 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 1127 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 3,68,979 houses in the district, including 28,862 urban houses and 3,40,117 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 445 villages in saharsa district.
