Siwan
Siwan is a district in the Bihar State of India. Total area of Siwan is 2,219 km² including 2,192.12 km² rural area and 26.88 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Siwan has a population of 33,30,464 peoples, out of which urban population is 1,82,913 while rural population is 31,47,551. Siwan has a sex ratio of approximately 988 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 1501 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 5,35,661 houses in the district, including 28,606 urban houses and 5,07,055 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 1,435 villages in siwan district.
The Siwan district is further divided in to Subdivisions / Blocks / PS / Community Development Blocks (C.D.Blocks) for administrative purposes.
