Daman

Daman is a district in the Daman & Diu Union Territory of India. Total area of Daman is 72 km² including 35.14 km² rural area and 36.86 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Daman has a population of 1,91,173 peoples, out of which urban population is 1,58,860 while rural population is 32,313. Daman has a sex ratio of approximately 533 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 2655 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 50,376 houses in the district, including 42,963 urban houses and 7,413 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 15 villages in daman district.
