North Delhi

North Delhi is a district in the Delhi National Capital Territory of India. Total area of North Delhi is 61 km² including 9.62 km² rural area and 51.38 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, North Delhi has a population of 8,87,978 peoples, out of which urban population is 8,70,232 while rural population is 17,746. North Delhi has a sex ratio of approximately 869 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 14557 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 1,80,044 houses in the district, including 1,76,732 urban houses and 3,312 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 2 villages in north delhi district.

The North Delhi district is further divided in to Tehsils / Blocks / PS / Community Development Blocks (C.D.Blocks) for administrative purposes. In India, the Block or C.D.Block is often the next level of administrative division after the tehsil. It is important to note that, In some states of India C.D.Blocks are equal to tehsils.
