Bharuch

Bharuch is a district in the Gujarat State of India. Total area of Bharuch is 6,509 km² including 6,339.21 km² rural area and 169.79 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Bharuch has a population of 15,51,019 peoples, out of which urban population is 5,24,959 while rural population is 10,26,060. Bharuch has a sex ratio of approximately 925 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 238.3 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 3,33,483 houses in the district, including 1,16,185 urban houses and 2,17,298 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 647 villages in bharuch district.
