Patan

Patan is a district in the Gujarat State of India. Total area of Patan is 5,792 km² including 5,653.92 km² rural area and 138.08 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Patan has a population of 13,43,734 peoples, out of which urban population is 2,81,081 while rural population is 10,62,653. Patan has a sex ratio of approximately 935 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 232 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 2,67,633 houses in the district, including 58,551 urban houses and 2,09,082 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 517 villages in patan district.

The Patan district is further divided in to Talukas / Blocks / PS / Community Development Blocks (C.D.Blocks) for administrative purposes.
