Surat District, Gujarat
Surat District is an administrative district in the state of Gujarat, India. It is situated about 260 km from Gandhinagar, the state capital of Gujarat. The district headquarters is located at Surat. Gujarati, Hindi and Urdu are the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 4,549 km², including 4,040.39 km² of rural area and 508.61 km² of urban area.
