Valsad

Valsad is a district in the Gujarat State of India. Total area of Valsad is 3,008 km² including 2,782.15 km² rural area and 225.85 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Valsad has a population of 17,05,678 peoples, out of which urban population is 6,35,501 while rural population is 10,70,177. Valsad has a sex ratio of approximately 922 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 567 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 3,64,403 houses in the district, including 1,47,455 urban houses and 2,16,948 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 433 villages in valsad district.

The Valsad district is further divided in to Talukas / Blocks / PS / Community Development Blocks (C.D.Blocks) for administrative purposes.
