Mandi

Mandi is a district in the Himachal Pradesh State of India. Total area of Mandi is 3,950 km² including 3,922.26 km² rural area and 27.74 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Mandi has a population of 9,99,777 peoples, out of which urban population is 62,637 while rural population is 9,37,140. Mandi has a sex ratio of approximately 1007 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 253 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 2,19,145 houses in the district, including 15,398 urban houses and 2,03,747 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 2,850 villages in mandi district.
