Bokaro

Bokaro is a district in the Jharkhand State of India. Total area of Bokaro is 2,883 km² including 2,446.21 km² rural area and 436.79 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Bokaro has a population of 20,62,330 peoples, out of which urban population is 9,83,644 while rural population is 10,78,686. Bokaro has a sex ratio of approximately 922 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 715.3 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 3,94,918 houses in the district, including 1,88,770 urban houses and 2,06,148 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 611 villages in bokaro district.

The Bokaro district is further divided in to Subdivisions / Blocks / PS / Community Development Blocks (C.D.Blocks) for administrative purposes.
