Deoghar

Deoghar is a district in the Jharkhand State of India. Total area of Deoghar is 2,477 km² including 2,345.26 km² rural area and 131.74 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Deoghar has a population of 14,92,073 peoples, out of which urban population is 2,58,361 while rural population is 12,33,712. Deoghar has a sex ratio of approximately 925 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 602.4 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 2,64,347 houses in the district, including 46,564 urban houses and 2,17,783 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 2,354 villages in deoghar district.
