Gumla

Gumla is a district in the Jharkhand State of India. Total area of Gumla is 5,360 km² including 5,333.30 km² rural area and 26.70 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Gumla has a population of 10,25,213 peoples, out of which urban population is 65,081 while rural population is 9,60,132. Gumla has a sex ratio of approximately 993 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 191.3 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 1,88,988 houses in the district, including 12,355 urban houses and 1,76,633 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 942 villages in gumla district.

The Gumla district is further divided in to Subdivisions / Blocks / PS / Community Development Blocks (C.D.Blocks) for administrative purposes.
