Jamtara

Jamtara is a district in the Jharkhand State of India. Total area of Jamtara is 1,811 km² including 1,778.95 km² rural area and 32.05 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Jamtara has a population of 7,91,042 peoples, out of which urban population is 75,746 while rural population is 7,15,296. Jamtara has a sex ratio of approximately 954 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 436.8 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 1,55,275 houses in the district, including 14,964 urban houses and 1,40,311 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 1,082 villages in jamtara district.
