Latehar

Latehar is a district in the Jharkhand State of India. Total area of Latehar is 4,291 km² including 4,251.92 km² rural area and 39.08 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Latehar has a population of 7,26,978 peoples, out of which urban population is 51,858 while rural population is 6,75,120. Latehar has a sex ratio of approximately 966 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 169.4 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 1,33,381 houses in the district, including 10,065 urban houses and 1,23,316 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 749 villages in latehar district.
