Pashchimi Singhbhum is a district in the Jharkhand State of India. Total area of Pashchimi Singhbhum is 7,224 km² including 7,110.08 km² rural area and 113.92 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Pashchimi Singhbhum has a population of 15,02,338 peoples, out of which urban population is 2,18,034 while rural population is 12,84,304. The district has a population density of 208 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 3,02,046 houses in the district, including 44,752 urban houses and 2,57,294 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 1,642 villages in pashchimi singhbhum district.
