Ranchi District, Jharkhand

Ranchi is an administrative district in Jharkhand, India. Its administrative headquarters is in Ranchi. Hindi, Oraon, Mundari and Santhali are the major languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 5,097 km², including 4,816.02 km² of rural area and 280.98 km² of urban area.
