Saraikela Kharsawan is a district in the Jharkhand State of India. Total area of Saraikela Kharsawan is 2,657 km² including 2,587.75 km² rural area and 69.25 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Saraikela Kharsawan has a population of 10,65,056 peoples, out of which urban population is 2,58,746 while rural population is 8,06,310. The district has a population density of 400.8 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 2,21,232 houses in the district, including 53,641 urban houses and 1,67,591 rural houses.
