Ernakulam

Ernakulam is a district in the Kerala State of India. Total area of Ernakulam is 3,063 km² including 2,137.74 km² rural area and 925.26 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Ernakulam has a population of 32,82,388 peoples, out of which urban population is 22,34,363 while rural population is 10,48,025. Ernakulam has a sex ratio of approximately 1026 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 1072 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 8,14,011 houses in the district, including 5,54,096 urban houses and 2,59,915 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 61 villages in ernakulam district.
