Kannur

Kannur is a district in the Kerala State of India. Total area of Kannur is 2,961 km² including 1,957.34 km² rural area and 1,003.66 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Kannur has a population of 25,23,003 peoples, out of which urban population is 16,40,986 while rural population is 8,82,017. Kannur has a sex ratio of approximately 1135 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 852 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 5,54,298 houses in the district, including 3,52,069 urban houses and 2,02,229 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 56 villages in kannur district.
