Kasaragod

Kasaragod is a district in the Kerala State of India. Total area of Kasaragod is 1,989 km² including 1,698.63 km² rural area and 290.37 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Kasaragod has a population of 13,07,375 peoples, out of which urban population is 5,09,047 while rural population is 7,98,328. Kasaragod has a sex ratio of approximately 1079 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 657 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 2,73,410 houses in the district, including 1,04,170 urban houses and 1,69,240 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 93 villages in kasaragod district.
