Kollam

Kollam is a district in the Kerala State of India. Total area of Kollam is 2,483 km² including 2,066.75 km² rural area and 416.25 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Kollam has a population of 26,35,375 peoples, out of which urban population is 11,87,158 while rural population is 14,48,217. Kollam has a sex ratio of approximately 1113 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 1061 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 6,69,375 houses in the district, including 2,92,696 urban houses and 3,76,679 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 69 villages in kollam district.
