Kozhikode

Kozhikode is a district in the Kerala State of India. Total area of Kozhikode is 2,345 km² including 1,400.85 km² rural area and 944.15 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Kozhikode has a population of 30,86,293 peoples, out of which urban population is 20,72,572 while rural population is 10,13,721. Kozhikode has a sex ratio of approximately 1098 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 1316 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 6,97,710 houses in the district, including 4,62,007 urban houses and 2,35,703 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 51 villages in kozhikode district.
