Kozhikode is a district in the Kerala State of India. Total area of Kozhikode is 2,345 km² including 1,400.85 km² rural area and 944.15 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Kozhikode has a population of 30,86,293 peoples, out of which urban population is 20,72,572 while rural population is 10,13,721. The district has a population density of 1316 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 6,97,710 houses in the district, including 4,62,007 urban houses and 2,35,703 rural houses.
