Ashoknagar is a district in the Madhya Pradesh State of India. Total area of Ashoknagar is 4,674 km² including 4,611.46 km² rural area and 62.54 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Ashoknagar has a population of 8,45,071 peoples, out of which urban population is 1,53,684 while rural population is 6,91,387. Ashoknagar has a sex ratio of approximately 904 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 180.8 inhabitants per square kilometre.
