Dewas

Dewas is a district in the Madhya Pradesh State of India. Total area of Dewas is 7,020 km² including 6,808.49 km² rural area and 211.51 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Dewas has a population of 15,63,715 peoples, out of which urban population is 4,51,759 while rural population is 11,11,956. Dewas has a sex ratio of approximately 941 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 222.8 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 3,08,871 houses in the district, including 87,595 urban houses and 2,21,276 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 1,057 villages in dewas district.
