Hoshangabad

Hoshangabad is a district in the Madhya Pradesh State of India. Total area of Hoshangabad is 6,703 km² including 6,583.05 km² rural area and 119.95 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Hoshangabad has a population of 12,41,350 peoples, out of which urban population is 3,89,986 while rural population is 8,51,364. Hoshangabad has a sex ratio of approximately 913 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 185.2 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 2,57,199 houses in the district, including 81,670 urban houses and 1,75,529 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 921 villages in hoshangabad district.
