Rewa

Rewa is a district in the Madhya Pradesh State of India. Total area of Rewa is 6,314 km² including 5,995.64 km² rural area and 318.36 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Rewa has a population of 23,65,106 peoples, out of which urban population is 3,95,785 while rural population is 19,69,321. Rewa has a sex ratio of approximately 930 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 374.6 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 5,26,065 houses in the district, including 75,768 urban houses and 4,50,297 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 2,408 villages in rewa district.

The Rewa district is further divided in to Tehsils / Blocks / PS / Community Development Blocks (C.D.Blocks) for administrative purposes. In India, the Block or C.D.Block is often the next level of administrative division after the tehsil. It is important to note that, In some states of India C.D.Blocks are equal to tehsils.

Hanumana is the largest tehsil in rewa district by area while Huzur is the largest tehsil by population. Raipur - Karchuliyan is the smallest tehsil in rewa district by both area and population.
