Shahdol

Shahdol is a district in the Madhya Pradesh State of India. Total area of Shahdol is 6,205 km² including 6,048.13 km² rural area and 156.87 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Shahdol has a population of 10,66,063 peoples, out of which urban population is 2,19,600 while rural population is 8,46,463. Shahdol has a sex ratio of approximately 974 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 171.8 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 2,51,452 houses in the district, including 46,184 urban houses and 2,05,268 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 814 villages in shahdol district.
