Shajapur

Shajapur is a district in the Madhya Pradesh State of India. Total area of Shajapur is 6,195 km² including 6,081.96 km² rural area and 113.04 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Shajapur has a population of 15,12,681 peoples, out of which urban population is 2,93,548 while rural population is 12,19,133. Shajapur has a sex ratio of approximately 938 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 244.2 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 3,00,025 houses in the district, including 55,782 urban houses and 2,44,243 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 1,071 villages in shajapur district.
