Shivpuri is a district in the Madhya Pradesh State of India. Total area of Shivpuri is 10,066 km² including 9,946.38 km² rural area and 119.62 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Shivpuri has a population of 17,26,050 peoples, out of which urban population is 2,95,423 while rural population is 14,30,627. The district has a population density of 171.5 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 3,59,969 houses in the district, including 55,682 urban houses and 3,04,287 rural houses.
