Ujjain

Ujjain is a district in the Madhya Pradesh State of India. Total area of Ujjain is 6,091 km² including 5,896.79 km² rural area and 194.21 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Ujjain has a population of 19,86,864 peoples, out of which urban population is 7,79,213 while rural population is 12,07,651. Ujjain has a sex ratio of approximately 955 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 326.2 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 3,91,438 houses in the district, including 1,52,488 urban houses and 2,38,950 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 1,095 villages in ujjain district.

The Ujjain district is further divided in to Tehsils / Blocks / PS / Community Development Blocks (C.D.Blocks) for administrative purposes.
