Imphal East

Imphal East is a district in the Manipur State of India. Total area of Imphal East is 709 km² including 668.15 km² rural area and 40.85 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Imphal East has a population of 4,56,113 peoples, out of which urban population is 1,83,207 while rural population is 2,72,906. Imphal East has a sex ratio of approximately 1017 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 643.3 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 92,124 houses in the district, including 37,681 urban houses and 54,443 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 191 villages in imphal east district.
