Champhai

Champhai is a district in the Mizoram State of India. Total area of Champhai is 3,185 km² including 3,105.00 km² rural area and 80.00 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Champhai has a population of 1,25,745 peoples, out of which urban population is 48,529 while rural population is 77,216. Champhai has a sex ratio of approximately 983 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 39.48 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 25,520 houses in the district, including 10,068 urban houses and 15,452 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 83 villages in champhai district.

The Champhai district is further divided in to Subdivisions / Blocks / PS / Community Development Blocks (C.D.Blocks) for administrative purposes.
