Mamit

Mamit is a district in the Mizoram State of India. Total area of Mamit is 3,025 km² including 2,984.00 km² rural area and 41.00 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Mamit has a population of 86,364 peoples, out of which urban population is 14,899 while rural population is 71,465. Mamit has a sex ratio of approximately 926 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 28.55 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 17,731 houses in the district, including 3,192 urban houses and 14,539 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 86 villages in mamit district.
