Dhenkanal

Dhenkanal is a district in the Odisha State of India. Total area of Dhenkanal is 4,452 km² including 4,383.82 km² rural area and 68.18 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Dhenkanal has a population of 11,92,811 peoples, out of which urban population is 1,17,506 while rural population is 10,75,305. Dhenkanal has a sex ratio of approximately 947 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 267.9 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 2,79,364 houses in the district, including 25,918 urban houses and 2,53,446 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 1,081 villages in dhenkanal district.
