Gajapati

Gajapati is a district in the Odisha State of India. Total area of Gajapati is 4,325 km² including 4,287.95 km² rural area and 37.05 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Gajapati has a population of 5,77,817 peoples, out of which urban population is 70,666 while rural population is 5,07,151. Gajapati has a sex ratio of approximately 1042 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 133.6 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 1,28,523 houses in the district, including 16,158 urban houses and 1,12,365 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 1,499 villages in gajapati district.
