Ariyalur District, Tamil Nadu

Ariyalur District is an administrative district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. It is situated about 275 km from Chennai, the state capital of Tamil Nadu. The district headquarters is located at Ariyalur. Tamil is the main language spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 1,940 km², including 1,886.69 km² of rural area and 53.31 km² of urban area.
