Dharmapuri

Dharmapuri is a district in the Tamil Nadu State of India. Total area of Dharmapuri is 4,497 km² including 4,407.43 km² rural area and 89.57 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Dharmapuri has a population of 15,06,843 peoples, out of which urban population is 2,60,912 while rural population is 12,45,931. Dharmapuri has a sex ratio of approximately 946 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 335 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 3,75,873 houses in the district, including 65,464 urban houses and 3,10,409 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 448 villages in dharmapuri district.
