Dharmapuri is a district in the Tamil Nadu State of India. Total area of Dharmapuri is 4,497 km² including 4,407.43 km² rural area and 89.57 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Dharmapuri has a population of 15,06,843 peoples, out of which urban population is 2,60,912 while rural population is 12,45,931. The district has a population density of 335 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 3,75,873 houses in the district, including 65,464 urban houses and 3,10,409 rural houses.
