Dindigul

Dindigul is a district in the Tamil Nadu State of India. Total area of Dindigul is 6,036 km² including 5,473.21 km² rural area and 562.79 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Dindigul has a population of 21,59,775 peoples, out of which urban population is 8,08,040 while rural population is 13,51,735. Dindigul has a sex ratio of approximately 998 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 358 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 5,60,773 houses in the district, including 2,09,803 urban houses and 3,50,970 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 330 villages in dindigul district.
