Kancheepuram District, Tamil Nadu

Kancheepuram District is an administrative district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. It is situated about 75 km from Chennai, the state capital of Tamil Nadu. The district headquarters is located at Kanchipuram. Tamil is the main language spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 4,483 km², including 3,818.41 km² of rural area and 664.59 km² of urban area.
