Kancheepuram

Kancheepuram is a district in the Tamil Nadu State of India. Total area of Kancheepuram is 4,483 km² including 3,818.41 km² rural area and 664.59 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Kancheepuram has a population of 39,98,252 peoples, out of which urban population is 25,38,336 while rural population is 14,59,916. Kancheepuram has a sex ratio of approximately 986 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 892 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 10,06,245 houses in the district, including 6,44,880 urban houses and 3,61,365 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 962 villages in kancheepuram district.
