Karur

Karur is a district in the Tamil Nadu State of India. Total area of Karur is 2,904 km² including 2,620.50 km² rural area and 283.50 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Karur has a population of 10,64,493 peoples, out of which urban population is 4,34,517 while rural population is 6,29,976. Karur has a sex ratio of approximately 1015 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 367 inhabitants per square kilometre.
