Namakkal District, Tamil Nadu

Namakkal District is an administrative district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. It is situated about 380 km from Chennai, the state capital of Tamil Nadu. The district headquarters is located at Namakkal. Tamil is the main language spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 3,420 km², including 3,119.43 km² of rural area and 300.57 km² of urban area.
