Theni District, Tamil Nadu

Theni District is an administrative district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. It is situated about 530 km from Chennai, the state capital of Tamil Nadu. The district headquarters is located at Theni. Tamil and Malayalam are the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 2,868 km², including 2,570.69 km² of rural area and 297.31 km² of urban area.
